Inge Jacobsen, Daniel Gordon and Nobuhiro Nakanishi are only a few of the artist that I found interesting to me when the Art & Design students had presentations.
She does embroidery over magazine covers or pages, or cuts the pages into strips and then weaves them back together. Both things make a very nice visual effect which I found very appealing.
His work caught my eye of how colourful it is and also the portraits reminded me of a Picasso painting. Everything he does involves paper.
And lastly Nakanishi’s work grabbed me with these glass or acrylic sheets that have images printed on them. Some as a time-lapse, others not, but in the end all of them give the feel of three dimensionality.
